EXPRESSIONS OF WORSHIP DANCE STUDIO
Amy Dean
Amy has been teaching dance for 15 years in the triangle at various studios and schools. She is currently the dance director at North Raleigh Christian Academy and is in her 3rd year at EOW. She has had the privilege of revamping the acro program here, motivating students to reach their fullest potential all for the glory of the Lord!
Spencer Duty
Spencer is excited to be returning for her second year as a character teacher at the studio. After dancing at the studio for 15 years, she is grateful for the opportunity to now pour into the next generation of dancers. Spencer is currently a junior at NC State University and loves helping her students grow in confidence, skill, and their love for dance. Most importantly, she hopes to encourage her dancers in their faith and help them grow closer to the Lord both inside and outside of the studio.
Ashleigh Tew
Ashleigh is entering her 7th year teaching modern and rhythm tap here at EOW. She is a graduate of Meredith College with her BA in Dance and a K-6 teaching licensure. While at Meredith, she was member of Meredith Dance Theatre and Meredith Tap Company, the school’s modern and tap dance companies. In addition to teaching dance, Ashleigh is a 4th grade in Cary. She is grateful to have the opportunity to share her love of Jesus and dance at EOW!
Edith Tew
Edith has lived in Wendell all of her life and is married with three grown children. Her oldest is Ashleigh Tew who also teaches at this studio. She is beginning her 24th year here at EOW. She currently teaches the younger character classes and 10 year old jazz and tap. Edith also loves teaching her adult clogging class. She loves teaching at EOW where her passion for dance and Jesus are given an outlet to share with all.
Kendall Morris
Kendall resides in Wendell with her husband Seth and her puppy Piper. She danced at EOW for 15 years where she developed skills in jazz, contemporary, modern, and every other style available. Kendall is entering into her 5th year teaching at Expressions of Worship. Kendall teaches jazz, tap, and clogging. Kendall has a dance minor from Appalachian State University and currently is working as a real estate photographer.
Anna Grace Hinton
Anna is a third-year teacher at the studio, where she teaches ballet, tap, acro, and clogging. She is also a student at NC State University, balancing her studies with her passion for dance. Anna danced at this studio for 15 years, making it a special part of her life and inspiring her to become a teacher.
Maegan Tart
Maegan is entering her fourth year teaching at EOW, where she teaches jazz, tap, and the youngest Worship Team. Having danced her entire life, she is passionate about sharing her love of dance and encouraging students to grow in both confidence and skill.
Maegan is a proud mama of two little girls who also dance at EOW. She is incredibly blessed to be part of the EOW team and to help inspire the next generation of dancers.
Beverly Pitman
Is starting her 14th year as a dance teacher at Expressions of Worship. She teaches Hip-Hop, Clogging and Worship Team ranging from ages 6 to Adult. Beverly has many years of dance experience aside from Hip-Hop and Clogging which include tap, jazz, ballet and lyrical. Her love for dance was also expressed in her 17 years of coaching cheerleading. She has coached and choreographed rec leagues, middle school, high school and All-Star squads. Beverly has danced under the instruction of coaches from the NCSU dance team and the UNC High Kicking Heels. All of Beverly’s Hip-Hop routines are danced to Christian music and are choreographed in ways that are pleasing to our Lord.
Christine Smith
Grew up in upstate NY taking classes at a preprofessional/competitive performing arts school. Studying Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Modern, acrobatics and Musical Theater for 15 years. She began teaching at age 16 and found her passion. She has been with Expressions of Worship since 2001. She focusses on the Ballet and Pointe program for ages 10 and up. She loves working in an atmosphere where she can not only follow one passion of passing the love of dance to others, but to share her love of Jesus with students in class and through dance.
